Introduction Dated November 5, 2019, the 5th Wuhan International Optics Valley Forum (WIOF2019) & Summit on Market and Technology of 5G Optical Bearer Network, co-hosted by C114 Optical Communication, Hubei Zhongke Foreign Science and Technology Cooperation Co., Ltd. and China Optics Valley International Optoelectronics Expo, will be grandly held on November 14 at Conference Hall 2, 3rd Floor, Optics Valley Convention & Exhibition Center, Wuhan. Liu Lu, Engineer, China Academy of Information and Communications Technology Liu Lu obtained her Doctoral degree in Communication and Information Systems from Peking University in 2018. Her research focuses on silicon-based optoelectronic integrated devices and chips. She joined the Institute of Technology and Standards, China Academy of Information and Communications Technology in 2018, mainly engaging in technological research, standard formulation and testing verification of optical devices, modules and quantum secure communication. ### 2. Ao Li, Director, Institute of Technology and Standards, China Academy of Information and Communications Technology Ao Li graduated from Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications, majoring in Image Transmission and Processing, and holds an MBA from BI Norwegian Business School. Currently serving as Director of the Institute of Technology and Standards, China Academy of Information and Communications Technology, she also holds multiple positions including Vice Chair of the Transmission and Access Network Working Committee & Leader of the Access Network and Home Network Working Group under China Communications Standards Association, Deputy Secretary-General of the Broadband Development Alliance and Optical Access Industry Alliance, Chinese Delegate to ITU-T SG15, and Member of the Communications Science and Technology Committee of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. Her research covers broadband networks, 5G applications, triple play, access networks and smart home systems. ### 3. Du Zhe, Deputy Director of Optical Access Research, China Telecom Du Zhe holds a bachelor's degree from Southeast University and is a certified engineer. He works at the Intelligent Network and Terminal Research Institute of China Telecom. He has long been committed to research on broadband optical access technologies and applications, with research interests including EPON/GPON/10G PON, multi-service bearing over PON, measurement and diagnosis of ODN optical links, as well as 5G fronthaul and backhaul bearing technologies. He has published numerous academic papers and won the Second Prize of Shanghai Science and Technology Award and the Second Prize of China Institute of Communications Science and Technology Award on multiple occasions. ### 4. Jia Wu, Senior Engineer, China Unicom Network Technology Research Institute Jia Wu is a senior engineer at China Unicom Network Technology Research Institute and holds a Doctoral degree in Electromagnetic Field and Microwave Technology from Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications. He was awarded the University Academic Star and Outstanding Graduate. He has authored more than 20 technical papers (including SCI journal papers and papers presented at OFC) and holds over 10 authorized and pending invention patents, and has received Outstanding Paper Awards many times. He currently acts as the Editor responsible for ITU-T G.uvs standards. His research focuses on optical transmission and access networks, broadband network services, as well as network operation, maintenance and management systems. ### 5. Yi Lilin, Professor, State Key Laboratory of Advanced Optical Communication Systems and Networks, Shanghai Jiao Tong University Professor Yi Lilin is a doctoral supervisor and Deputy Director of the State Key Laboratory of Advanced Optical Communication Systems and Networks. He was awarded the Young Chang Jiang Scholar (2017) by the Ministry of Education, Excellent Young Scientist Fund (2013) and National Excellent Doctoral Dissertation Award (2010). His main research directions include intelligent optical information processing, broadband optical access and chaotic optical communication. He has published over 170 papers in top international journals and conferences, including more than 90 SCI-indexed papers and 7 invited journal papers, with over 600 SCI citations. He has delivered more than 30 invited talks at flagship optical communication conferences such as OFC and ECOC, and served as a member of the OFC Technical Program Committee (2017-2019). He is also an editorial board member of SCI journal *Optical Fiber Technology* and *Laser & Optoelectronics Progress*. ### 6. Wang Li, Chief System Architect, Broadband Product Line, FiberHome Telecommunication Technologies Co., Ltd. Wang Li holds a Doctoral degree from Wuhan University and is a senior engineer. She currently serves as Chief System Architect of the Broadband Product Line at FiberHome. She has long devoted herself to the R&D of broadband access and video products, with rich experience in the development and evolution of FTTx technologies. She has published multiple papers and possesses a number of patents. ### 7. Yu Chuang, R&D Director, Wuhan Yilutong Technology Co., Ltd. - June 2002 - June 2015: FA Engineer at MSI Computer (Shenzhen) Co., Ltd. - July 2005 - April 2011: Optical Engineering Supervisor at Foxconn Technology (Shenzhen) Co., Ltd. - April 2011 - Present: Successively served as Quality Manager, Engineering Manager and R&D Director at Wuhan Yilutong Technology Co., Ltd. He has successfully led the development of multiple projects including high-isolation and low-loss dense wavelength division multiplexing devices based on optical filters, high-channel compact NOLAWG and 90° Fiber Array (FA). Zhang Jian, Chief Marketing Specialist, Optical Industry, Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd. Born in 1984, Zhang Jian earned his bachelor's degree in Optical Fiber Communication from Nanjing University of Posts and Telecommunications, and a master's degree in Electronic Engineering from Tsinghua University in 2007. From 2008 to 2010, he pursued his doctoral research on silicon photonics at The University of Texas at Austin, USA. He previously worked at the Institute of Technology and Standards under China Academy of Information and Communications Technology, Nokia Siemens Networks and Ciena Networks, engaging in standard testing, pre-sales solution and customer sales. While at Ciena Networks, he established the company's Taiwan subsidiary.
